What is Serve in the Summer?

Serve in the Summer is an intentional time seeking to display and declare the Gospel in our local community.

Throughout the summer, we will have various opportunities to serve. Our hope is that each member will join in for a few different opportunities (without feeling any pressure to do everything). Likewise, we hope that this annual rhythm will lead each of us to look for ongoing ways we can serve.

We have a number of projects identified that we would like to undertake. If you are willing to be the Team Leader for one of these projects, sign up below.

Hoschton Back to School Bash- oversee a team providing food for the City of Hoschton’s Back to School Bash.

July 4th Fireworks- oversee a team giving out water, popsicles, etc. at the July 4th Fireworks show on the lawn.

West Jackson Elementary- oversee a team blessing WJES by doing projects around the school grounds.

Please note that priority is given to projects that have a willing Team Leader. Likewise, due to the limited budget and bandwidth of our church body, the SERVE Team may not be able to approve all projects.

We will have different opportunities to serve spread throughout the summer.
Our goal is to take the kinds of opportunities we have done in the past and space them out at different points all summer long.
This year's project list is still being developed. Approved projects are listed below. You can submit your project ideas above.

We REALLY want to see this be a member-led initiative! Submit a project or offer to be a Team Leader above.
For each project, we are looking for Team Leaders who will be the point person in organizing that project and communicating with those who are signed up to assist. If you are willing to be a team leader on a project, then sign up below.
